Yuki Hirano grew up in Sapporo, the capital of Japan's northern island. In 2017, she came to the national stage by winning the 1st prize at the All-Japan Student Music Competition and receiving the special prize by the Suntory Foundation for the Arts – she was given Angelo Toppani from 1740 on a loan. In 2020, Yuki won the 2nd prize at the Music Competition of Japan, most prestigious national competition. She has been performing as a soloist since her debut with the Tokyo University of the Arts Philharmonic Orchestra in 2016. In 2019, 2021, and 2022, she was invited to appear at the Miyazaki International Music Festival as a rising star. Her performance with the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra in 2020 was aired on Japanese Public Television. In April 2024, at the age of 19, she won the 1st prize at the Vienna Classic Violin Competition. She not only received the 1st prize for her fabulous lecture at the Classic Violin Olympus International Competition, but also was invited to the grand final held in Dubai. She was also awarded 2nd prize at the Ysaÿe International Music Competition in 2024. She has received scholarship from the Munetsugu Angel Fund-Federation of Musicians Japan, and became a scholarship holder of the 2023 Meiji Yasuda Quality of Life Culture Foundation. Yuki has studied violin with prof. Tsugio Tokunaga, and is currently continuing her studies at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK) with prof. Pavel Vernikov.
