Kristijonas Pūtys studies at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA), in the class of prof. Rūta Lipinaitytė. Since the age of ten, Kristijonas has succeeded in various competitions. In recent years, the violinist has won 1st prize at the A. Livontas String Competition, 1st prize at the International Lithuanian Chamber Music Competition (2021 and 2023), 1st prize and grand prix at the International Competition "Baltic Strings" (2022 and 2024). Kristijonas has performed solo with various orchestras, his most memorable performances include concerts with the Vilnius St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra and the LMTA Symphony Orchestra. While performing with this orchestra, the violinist represented the Strings Department at the LMTA anniversary event at the Great Hall of the Lithuanian National Philharmonic. The violinist is frequently invited to various chamber music and orchestral projects. Kristijonas performed the opera "Alice in Wonderland" by D. Sebba at the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre as part of the chamber ensemble. He also took part in a competition organised by the Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic, and was selected to represent the LMTA in the Karajan Academy, and performed at the Berlin Philharmonic. From 2023, the young violinist has attracted the interest of the renowned pianist Alexander Paley. With the artist and his Ensemble Paleasis, Kristijonas has played many concerts as first violin, participated at the Pažaislis Summer Festival, the Concert Series "Rarities" at the Paliesius Manor, and numerous other projects.
